Museveni Meets NRM Mps over Mobile money tax vote
President Museveni has summoned members of Parliament from the ruling National Resistance Movement at State House Entebbe for a caucus meeting over Mobile Money tax amendment Bill.
Sources have revealed that the meeting which has kicked off at State House Entebbe, is to build a consensus on how to vote on the Mobile money amendment that is before Parliament.
The controversial bill was tabled before Parliament for the second reading last week on Thursday and the house was adjourned after the absence of the required quorum to take a decision.
It is reported that on that day, members of the NRM party were demobilized from entering the house to take a vote by Commissioner Peter Ogwang and the Minister of State for Finance, Evelyn Anite.
