MPs on the parliamentary forum for children Raise Concern over Child Neglect
Legislators on the parliamentary forum for children are concerned that the country will continue to breed sections of criminals if parents continue to neglect their children. The MPs, including Kigulu North mp , Andrew Kaluya are thus advocating for empowerment of every adult Ugandan to engage in income generating activities as an avenue to raise a responsible future generation.
The chairman of the forum also Kakuuto county mp, Kalemba Christopher explains that when parents lack funds, they tend to be bitter to their children and this sees many run away from their homes.
They were interfacing with officials from the Uganda child Rights who are advocating for increase on the money government allocates to different sectors, ministry of labour, Gender and social development in particular to cater for children affairs.
