‘Mbabazi was a rock in the road’ – Otafire
In appreciation and to express support to his Excellency Yoweri Museveni’s candidacy in the 2016 elections, leaders of the ruling National Resistance movement (NRM) in the Ankole region yesterday convened at Boma grounds in Mbarara district for a merry making, in what was meant to put out the massive support the incumbent still enjoys.
The chief mobiliser of the event, Ruhindi county MP, Major General Kahinda Otafiire, also Minister of Justice & Constitutional Affairs, speaking at the event lashed at parties that think of winning over the current government.
He said; “…the Democtartic party can not organise its self. If it has failed to organise its self, how can it organise the country?… UPC has a record of failure, how do we trust them with power once again?… FDC…we know their capacity, we know their shortcoming, we do not think it is time for them to take over this country at this stage.”
He also lauded the JPAM president Amama Mbabazi for the brilliant decision of leaving the party.
“Mbabazi was like a rock in the middle of the road. Everybody was knocking him along the way, with in the party(NRM)” Kahinda Otafire said.
