Man Jailed for Stealing Five Cartons of Chief Waraji
A 27 year old man has been handed a three month jail sentence in Luzira prison for stealing five cartons of Chief Waragi.
Turyatunga Pius has been sentenced by Buganda road court grade one magistrate Robert Mukanza after he turned around and pleaded guilty to the charge of theft and consequently convicted on his own plea of guilty.
Turyatunga who has been on remand at Luzira prison since May this year had first denied to have stolen the waragi before changing his plea today.
Prosecution states that on March17th2018, Turyatunga with others still at large at Qualicell bus terminal in Kampala central division stole a bag containing five cartons of Chief Waragi valued at 396000 shillings.
The stolen waragi belonged to a one Moses Ssenabulya.
