M7 encourages sex education
Sex education in the present day Uganda is an issue that has been left to schools especially the boarding sections and majority of parents have completely refrained from taking a moment off with their children to tackle the topic.
This, president Yoweri Museveni has criticized and called upon parents to once again take up the duty of naturing their children into responsible citizens and asked students to be patient with life to be able to have a future filled with light.
The president was speaking yesterday at the passing out of 800 student and teacher patriots from Mbarara zone which constitutes of Kiruhura, Mbarara, Isingiro and Ibanda districts at Nyakayojo secondary school.
Granting the request of lt. col. Henry Matsiko, the national principal of patriotic clubs in the country, for patriotism to be integrated in the national curriculum, the president pledged scholarships to teachers in patriotic clubs to be trained to teach the subject before it is incorporated in the curriculum.
