Local Government Leaders Hail Establishment of NGO Forum
Local government leaders have described as timely the humanitarian platform for local and national organizations in Uganda which was recently launched by the umbrella body of Non-Governmental organizations in Uganda (NGO-Forum).
Speaking to Croozefm, the LCV chairperson of Adjumani district which is among the host districts of refugees, James Leku says for a long time most districts have lacked coordination because there was absence of the NGO-Forum.
He says with new platform in place, it will be easy to document all the interventions carried out in areas faced by crisis and for the case of Adjumani, the refugee crisis.
Leku says this will foster accountability and transparency in the help and services offered to refugees.
