Leaders Caution on Hygiene as Mango Season Sets In
As the mango season begins, leaders in Gulu have begun sensitizing the local residents to keep good hygiene and sanitation.
The leaders are worried that if the residents do not keep good hygiene during this period, there will be an outbreak of Cholera and dysentery.
“We call upon all the local people to take care of the mango pills everywhere where they eat mangoes and most importantly they should wash the mangoes well before they eat them” Patrick Otika, the councilor for Lakwana sub county told residents on Friday
Otika also maintained that during his visit to Lakwana sub County, he found many mango pills left under mango trees and that most of the residents seemed not to care about it.
