Lamunu signs pro-contract with Portuguese side
Ever since leaving the KCCA Leopards for the United States in 2014, Ugandan international basketball star Claire Lamunu has made gigantic strides in her professional career.
The power forward joined Vanguard University where she played in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Lamunu put up impressive numbers in her senior year averaging a double-double although her team lost to Lewis & Clark State semi-final of the national championship.
After her college basketball tenure Lamunu has been signed by Portuguese top league (Liga Feminina) side Boa Viagem-Angra-Acore.

Last season got 22 points, 12,8 rebounds and 1,6 launch disarming. The International Athlete for Uganda, was still considered the MVP of the championship of the NAIA.

Lamunu helped Vanguard make it to the NAIA Division I Final Four.
She was selected The Women’s Basketball Coaches Association, The National Collegiate Athletic Association (WBCA, NAIA) Player of the Year, WBCA All-NAIA Player of the Year and voted to NAIA Division I All-Championship 1st Team.
