Kitatta trial kicks off at the Army Court in Makindye
The trial of the Patron of Boda Boda 2010 Abdallah Kitatta, has kikced off before the Army Court in Makindye Chaired by Lt.Gen. Andrew Gutti.
Ktatta and 12others are facing charges of failure to protect war material and unlawful possession of military arms, which is the monopoly of the UPDF.
The group was arrested over the murder of Case hospital accountant Francis Ekalungar who had been missing, but his body was later discovered burnt in Kajjansi.
They were found in possession of an SMG rifle and a pistol-30 and 20 rounds of ammunition for SMG rifles.
Now a CMI Operative, Private Richard Kasaija who was instructed to go and arrest them from Busega round -about a Kampala Suburb, is Prosecution Witness number one.
The operation happened on 19/January this year on the instructions of Capt. James Agaba, the Director of operations in Counter Terrorism.
