Kenyan police injures 5 journalists in IEBC protest
Five journalists are nursing wounds after being beaten and injured by police while covering the anti-IEBC protests in Kenya’s Kisumu town last evening.
According to the Daily Nation about 20 officers attacked protesters and journalists and beat them.
The protests had largely unaffected journalists since they began three weeks ago.
Despite all police brutal reaction, the opposition NASA protesters have vowed to continue with protests meant to call for changes in electoral commission ahead of the October 26th re-run.
The reforms hey are calling for include the sacking of key electoral officials accused of bungling up the August polls whose result was nullified by the Supreme Court.
