Kamwenge Farmers worry over fall army worm in the next season
Farmers in Kamwenge district have expressed worry over the fall army worm which affected their crops last season saying it may occur again if district authorities continue to neglect agriculture issues in the district.
Though government tried to address the issue of fall army worms, farmers claim the chemicals brought were not fairly distributed.
George Byaruhanga a farmer from Omubushenyi of Rwenjaza parish Nyabbani sub county Kamwenge district says he has been planting maize and water melon on large scale but he faces a challenge of pests and disease.
He appeals to district authorities to advise them on proper farming methods and how they can prevent pests and diseases especially in the coming season.
