Kabale Bee farmers Receive Harvesting Gears from Government
Seventeen farmers from Kabale district have today received honey harvesting gears worth six million shillings from Kabale district local government to help farmers to improve on the quality of honey.
The equipment they received include, gloves, Overalls, smokers, brushes, knives among others.
According to the Kabale district Senior Entomologist Honest Tumuheirwe, the district decided to buy the gears to support bee farmers and help them produce quality honey saying that most of them were producing honey not on standard due to lack of harvesting gears.
Handing over the gears to the beneficiaries in the office of the Kabale district Senior Entomologist at Kabale District Local Government in Kabale municipality, the Kabale district Secretary for Production and Natural Resources Ali Karama warned them against
selling them instead use the equipment’s to improve on the quality of honey.
