Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri Are ‘100 Percent’ Back on!
Janet Jackson and ex Jermaine Dupri are back on, a source confirms. The 51-year-old singer and the 45-year-old music producer, who ended their seven-year relationship eight years ago, are said to be rekindling their romance, just months after her separation from her husband of five years, Wissam Al Mana.
“They are 100 percent back together and in love,” a source confirms to Us Weekly. Addressing Janet and Jermaine’s date at a private party at STK Atlanta over the weekend, where the “Nasty” singer celebrated the end of the U.S. leg of her “State of the World” tour, the source tells the webloid, “They were cuddled up and holding hands.”
As previously reported, the rumored rekindled couple was spotted arriving at the party together. “They arrived together right after the show,” a source told Page Six. “He was dressed in a long hooded cloak. It seemed like he was trying to fly under the radar.” The two were said to be spending the evening together in the VIP area.
Reps for Janet and Jermaine have not responded to the reconciliation rumor. The pair allegedly had started to see each other again following her tumultuous split from Wissam, with whom she has a 11-month-old son named Eissa, in April.
The Us Weekly source notes that when Janet was with her Qatari businessman husband Wissam, she “had zero communication” with Jermaine and that “she would not talk to him.” So when she ended their marriage, “Jermaine reached out,” according to the source. “They are getting to know each other all over again.”
Janet and Jermaine dated for seven years before ending their longtime relationship in 2009 amidst her mourning the loss of her brother Michael Jackson. The “Rhythm Nation” singer revealed to Atlanta’s “The Bert Show” at the time that “Jermaine is one of my best friends.” She said, “I love him to death. We’re still connected. We’re still good friends. We still talk.” She continued, “We’re there for one another,” noting, “I think it will remain that way for the rest of my life.”
