Gov’t: Gen Tinye Faces Death Penalty
The Coordinator of Intelligence Organs, Gen David Sejusa faces life imprisonment or death sentence for spreading harmful propaganda, a senior government official has said. Information Minister Mary Karooro Okurut says Sejusa is a “General in active service of the UPDF, a member of its High Command and represents the army in the 9th Parliament and therefore had various appropriate platforms to raise his concerns without recourse to the media to incite the population or undermine national security. Mean while Opposition Party FDC has said that the government and the army must stop the talk of Muhoozi project and deal with issues that are beneficial to the nation. Member of parliament Caps Hassan Fungaroo explains that the Muhoozi project is no longer a threat to Ugandans but affects the stability and security of the nation further advising the son of the first family Kainerugaba Muhoozi to get down to the grass root of politics if he wants to lead this country. Fungaroo further also says the army must be non partisan and should not be involved in any politics of the country.
