Government Blamed for Poor Performance In Moslem Schools
The poor education performance and development among the Muslim schools have been attributed to laxity of Government towards the efforts that they render to them.
This was revealed yesterday by the Secretary General for Uganda Supreme council in Mbarara and Kirihura area Hajji Lubega Mansur at the fundraising of Biharwe Muslim primary school in Biharwe Division, Mbarara municipality.
Mansur added that in most cases Moslems are tend to be left behind mostly in Government programs like giving jobs, grants among others.
In response the Biharwe division LC3 chairperson Muganga Steven urged the Muslims to love their schools first, develop team work and cherish development then the Government will come to their rescue.
While speaking as the Guest of honor the Western Youth legislator Hon. Mwine Mpaka revealed that he was shocked to find that a Government aided school is in sorry state urging that before Government runs to close private schools that lacks standard they would have closed their own.
Mpaka donated the complete block that contains 7 classrooms which is on international level on his own money. At the fundraising the total of 1.13m cash was collected, pledges were 2.45m.
