Former Bundibugyo Woman Mp arraigned in court over forgery
Former Bundibugyo District Woman MP Harriet Ntabazi has been charged with forgery of academic documents before Buganda Road court.
IGG’s Wilberforce Mutebule alleges that between December 2015 and October 2016, Ntabazi Knowingly uttered a false UACE certificate both to the Electoral commission, and to investigators from the IGG’s office purporting that the said certificate had been issued by UNEB whereas not.
Investigations further established that the intention of Ntabazi’s actions was to secure nomination and contest for elections as Bundibugyo District Woman Member of Parliament.
Ntabazi appeared before Grade One Magistrate Esther Nahirya, and denied the charges.
She was then granted bail of 5 million shillings cash and her passport retained by court.
She returns to court on 5th/July/2018 for mention of her case.
