Dortmund stars will bag £125k each for Champions League glory (but that's just HALF of what Norwich won for survival
They say German football has a better, more realistic grasp of finances than English football.
And these figures show that may well be the case – if they win the Champions League, Borussia Dortmund players stand to win barely over half of what Norwich players got for avoiding relegation.
Dortmund stars will get £126,000 each if they can emerge triumphant on Saturday night at Wembley while Canaries players scored £250,000 – according to figures from The Sun.
Manager Jurgen Klopp will, however, pick up £250,000 if he can prevent Bayern Munich from earning a treble this season.
But Bayern Munich players are the exception to the rule, meanwhile, picking up big bucks en route to the final.
Some have already earned £150,000 for Champions League progress and stand to earn more still with victory on Saturday.
Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: ‘It will be a record amount that we spend, but if it means we win all three cups I will be delighted to pay it.’
