Davies deal extended
Derby midfielder Ben Davies has signed an extended contract to stay at the club for another season.
The 31-year-old has put pen to paper on a new deal that will keep him at Pride Park until the summer of 2014.
“It’s nice to have got everything sorted out and the contract signed,” Davies told the club’s official website.
“It was an easy decision in the end. You don’t walk away from a club as big as Derby and I honestly believe that next year will be a good year for the club.”
Davies added: “My family and my wife are settled in the area. I love the lads here and love playing for the gaffer, so when you enjoy something, you want to carry it on.
Davies, signed for an undisclosed fee from Notts County in January 2011, made 26 appearances for the Rams last season, scoring five goals.
