Danish Medical Students train at Mbarara referral Hospital
Mbarara regional referral hospital is hosting a contingent of students from Denmark for training under the program of trimedics. Under the program, students are sent overseas to acquire different professional knowledge and compare, while learning a wide range of skills.
According to Barigye Celestine, the hospital director, the students will undergo an observation training for a month which he says will encourage them join medical professions like nursing, midwifery among others.
Dr Barigye adds that as much as Europe has got many hospitals than Africa, European students have limited opportunities of getting the feel of what exactly happens in hospitals as well as knowing how patients are cared for.
