Court Bailiffs in Bushenyi hunt for Reverend who escaped jail
Court bailiffs in Bushenyi are hunting for a Reverend, identified as Steven Namanya for escaping from chief magistrates court cell after being committed for 6 months in prison for failing to pay a loan of 1.9 million.
Grade I magistrate at Bushenyi court, Asanasio Mukobe committed Rev. Namanya to Bushenyi prison for allegedly failing to pay a loan that he took from Evans Kahwite of Ishaka town Bushenyi district.
According to the court file, Rev. Namanya hails from Rugarama Rushenyi county Ntungamo district and serves in South Ankole diocese.
Eye witnesses at Bushenyi court, say that the reverend was committed to Nyamushekyerera prison for 6 months and as the relatives were trying to raise money, the reverend walked gently with his church collar through the gates of court and disappeared.
