Cabinet Meetings Shifted From Wednesday to Friday
Cabinet meetings will shift from Wednesday to Friday to enable ministers attend parliament business.
Government Chief Whip Ruth Nankabirwa told journalists at parliament that the decision was taken in yesterday’s cabinet meeting chaired by President Yoweri Museveni at State House Entebbe.
Nankabirwa said they have been finding it very difficult to run both parliament and cabinet on the same day, citing this for repeated absence of ministers in plenary sessions especially on Wednesdays.
Speaker Rebecca Kadaga and her deputy Oulanyah have on several occasions raised issues with the absence of ministers in parliament.
