Bishop Sheldon Decries Alcoholism, Sex Acts Among School Children
The bishop of Ankole dioceses the Rt. Rev Dr Fred Sheldon Mwesigwa has shown a concern over the increase cases of alcoholism and sex acts among the ongoing schools children.
Bishop Mwesigwa says in various schools visited they have discovered that May children involved in sex Acts and drinking alcohol at an early age.
Bishop made this remark during the confirmation mass of 123 held at St Paul Birere Parish C.O.U in Isingiro district under great Mbarara archdeaconry Ankole dioceses.
According to Bishop, this habit has been common in secondary schools but now it has gone to primary level.
Bishop attributes all to the modern technology of using internet where they excess pornographic features that attempts them.
He is now calling up the parents, religious leaders to be vigilant on what they children watch on television as the way of reducing the act saying this also has contributed much on the poor performance of schooling children at all levels because they don’t concentrate on studies.
