Besigye Tells Supporters In Bushenyi That Museveni Isn’t Invincible
Opposition strongman Dr Kizza Besigye has revealed Uganda will continue to grapple with high levels of endemic corruption unless the system of governance is changed.
Besigye said Uganda’s democracy remains weak as potentially transformative leaders are being rigged out in elections.
Dr Besigye said the ruling NRM party with its chairperson President Museveni continue to rule Uganda “just like a family property” using colonial rules that has disempowered the common man.
The former FDC leader made the remarks in Kabwohe Town Council during a rally on Monday.
He urged his supporters to stop “fearing police,” saying cops are also human beings tasked with the duty of protecting Ugandans but not to harass them.
