Arua Magistrate court releases Mp Zaake on bail
The Mityana Municipality Mp, Francis Zaake Butebi, who was arrested yesterday for allegedly skipping police bond, has been arraigned before Arua chief Magistrate court on charges of treason.
Zaake has now been granted a non-cash bail of Shs50 million ,while the hearing of the treason case against him has been adjourned to March 22, 2019.
He is among those accused of being involved in the stoning of President Museveni’s motorcade last year in Arua, after a rally in a by-election to replace slain Arua Municipality legislator, Ibrahim Abiriga, whih was later won by Kasiano Wadri.
He is charged alongside other 33, including Kyadondo East member of Parliament, Robert Sentamu Kyagulanyi, better known as Bobi Wine.
