Anti- Age Limit Mps Threaten Fire Over Colleague Arrests
- The Anti- age limit coalition of MPs have put on notice the Uganda police that if any arrests is done on a single mp, it will hamper with business in parliament.
- Speaking at a joint press conference at parliament through their lawyers Medard Lubega Segona and Caleb Alaka, the legislators note that parliament can not fully be constituted, business can not go on when some of their colleagues are in custody hence they are not to entertain any arrests.
- They say there are rumours that police plans individual arrest of MPs which they term as partisan given the ongoing debate surrounding the lifting of age limit proposal.
Ssegona now calls on police to systematically come up with list of MPs they intend to arrest, and charges they intend to place on them then meet in courts of law.
