15 dead, over 30 injured in two separate accidents
Police has confirmed that four people have died on spot after a Link bus reg no UBA 332B that was heading to Masindi from Kampala had a tyre burst at wabinyonyo at around 10:30 AM hence losing control and overturned.
Four people have been confirmed dead on spot after a bus Reg. No. UBA 332B belonging to Link company heading 2 Masindi from K'la had a tyre burst at Namayonjo at around 9:30 AM hence losing control & overturned. Over 30 pple were injured & rushed 2 Nakasongola Military Hospital.

Over 30 people have been injured and are currently receiving treatment at Nakasongola military hospital.
Namayonjo is listed among the most dangerous black spots along the Kampala – Gulu highway.
Witnesses who are at the scene say many people are still trapped in the bus with little hope of survival. The driver died on the spot.
In another developement, a fatal accident occured this morning on Iganga- Bugiri high way at a place called Butende when two cars a taxi heading to Bugiri collided with a trailer heading to kampala.
The taxi driver and 10 passengers died on spot while others who got injured severely were rushed to Nakavule hospital in Iganga.
Police has not yet issued an official statement on this accident.
